On October 11th, an important step forward was made in the MASTERLY Project as our partner Decathlon Italia hosted partners STAM and Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia at its advanced facility in Brandizzo to performe the first test on grippers and picking logics, crucial aspects in development of advanced robotic solutions for the DEC use case..
The day proved to be a crucial moment for the MASTERLY Project, allowing for an in-depth analysis of various aspects of the packages that our robotic solutions will handle in the future. Parameters such as dimensions, opening, height, weight, shape and possible operating logics have been carefully examined from multiple perspectives. At the same time, a wide range of grippers were tested to determine the most suitable options to meet different product specifications.
This testing initiative aimed to lay the foundation for an efficient and adaptable solution by classifying the proposed solutions.

The MASTERLY Project is committed to designing a cutting-edge solution capable of adapting perfectly to different types of products. To achieve this, the recent testing event represented a significant step, streamlining options and ensuring better adaptability for a wide range of items. The success of the project depends on the effectiveness of both the gripper and vision system: on that topic, the National Technical University of Ukraine is currently at work, to develop and guarantee the most advanced solutions.
The recent testing event is just the beginning. The MASTERLY Project is dedicated to completing comprehensive analysis and testing across all categories and elements central to the project objectives.
